Quality

What are Quality Standards?

Quality standards are documents that provide requirements, specifications, guidelines, or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that services are fit for purpose.

The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) protect the public by regulating 15 health and care professions throughout the UK. Chiropody/Podiatry are one of these professions.

The level of care you receive from a registered professional should meet HCPC standards. All the professionals on the HCPC Register must meet these standards and this means doing the following:

Treating you as an individual

  • Respecting your needs, wishes and confidentiality
  • Communicating with you in a way you can understand.

Being honest and trustworthy

  • Telling you if things go wrong in your care or treatment.
  • Doing what they can to put things right.
  • Keeping the relationship professional.

Putting your safety first

  • Only doing what they know and understand, or referring you to another professional.
  • Learning from mistakes.
  • Speaking up if they are concerned about your safety.

Our Policy Documents

We have in place a number of policy documents. A policy document specifies the rules, guidelines and regulations that we have, as a company, specified is the minimum acceptable standard of service delivery.

No policy is ever set in stone. As a business we must grow and adapt to change and so must our policies. They can grow to include more areas or to clarify ambiguous sections. Some policies may be eliminated, while others may be added. As technology changes, our related policies around may change as well.

We take into account changing external elements that affect our business policies and adjust our guidelines to better serve your customers and engage our employees and associates.
