Chiropodist or Podiatrist

Podiatry is the global term for medical practitioners of the feet. Our official title with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is Chiropodist/Podiatrist as there is no difference between the two professions. Podiatry is the main professional term that has been used for the past few decades and we will normally refer to ourselves as Podiatrists. We carry out all the functions that you would associate with a Chiropodist. 

Our patients receive the very highest quality and friendly care at all times from practitioners who have successfully completed extensive medical training and hold HCPC accepted foot care qualifications. We are committed to continuous professional development and attend courses and training seminars to keep our skills and expertise fully up to date. 

We treat a wide range of foot care issues and, if minor foot surgery is necessary, we are experienced in the administration of local anaesthesia.

Podiatry is the term that is now recognised by the Health Care Professions Council for medical practitioners of the feet but we really don’t mind if you call us podiatrists or chiropodists.
